In Iceland--considered the Mecca of Atlantic salmon fishing--Kenji Sugisaka lands numerous Atlantic salmon by manipulating short head fly line, which he developed himself. .
Unlike when using traditional long belly line, Sugisaka is able to control his fly as he desires over the cross currents of the river with his new line.
He confidently catches fish after fish in every area, even right next to the edge of the opposite bank over the complicated currents,--a difficult feat for an ordinary fly fisherman.
This innovative line system born in Japan proves to be effective even in Iceland. The Sugisaka style was recorded, and is showcased in this episode.
